IBM Use Case Lead (MSS- IBM Security Services) in Austin, Texas

IBM Managed Security Services (MSS) is seeking an experienced senior threat intelligence analyst for the Use Case Lead position.The Use Case Lead role requires excellent leadership, cyber security threat intelligence, experience and program management skills. This role will serve as a leader for the use case governance program which will drive use case prioritization and road map development, will work with the technical teams to develop and enhance the use cases and rules on the road map, and will adapt the road map as needed to meet the demands of the client’s business and the changing threats to the client’s environment.Responsibilities:-

  • The Use Case Lead will be responsible for working with all levels of the security program from senior level management to technical rule development engineers.

  • They will perform business use requirement reviews and development with senior level business and application owners.

  • They will work with threat intelligence analysts to understand the threat to the client environment and assist in the development of use cases.

  • They will work with monitoring, triage, and response analysts to understand their visibility requirements.

  • Based on all of this input they will develop use case requirements based on those business needs.

  • They will prioritize the use case road map and lead the use case development work, along with several members of the use case development team.

  • They will track the use case development work to ensure it is performed in the agreed upon development time frames.

  • They will ensure the use cases are comprehensively developed, tested, and tuned before moving into production.

  • They will measure use case and rule performance to ensure they are effective and meet the business outcomes defined in the original use case request.

  • The Use Case Lead must have a cyber threat intelligence and research background.

  • The candidate will have demonstrated communication and negotiation skills to receive and deliver input from various teams and the client to drive the road map and priorities.

  • The candidate must understand logic, be able to assess and prioritize threats and tie back to the client’s environment, identify gaps, and apply technical due diligence.

  • The Use Case Lead shall enhance and maintain the Use Case road map which requires organization and project management skills.

  • Deliver high quality technical solutions to clients in response to security incidents.

  • Applicant must have professional, operational and inter-personal skills to function effectively in collaborative high stakes and high stress situations with clients.

  • Candidates must possess skills that include demonstrated, all source intelligence, security technologies experience, demonstrated understanding of security best practices, demonstrated written and oral communications, must be detail oriented, must be customer focused and willing to work in a high stress environment.

  • 5+ years experience in cyber threat intelligence & research.

  • Basic knowledge in and experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

  • Leadership experience.
