Recruit Veterans is looking for an Sr. ETL Developer for our client in Austin, TX.

Position Description

As a senior level Data Warehouse ETL (extraction, Transformation, and Load) Developer, the Worker must have a strong background in Data Warehouse architecture. Lead in designing, developing and supporting large or complex extraction, transformation and load systems and applications. The Worker must be comfortable with developing new products from concept phase onward, as well as taking complex and challenging existing systems and quickly developing expertise in maintaining/enhancing them. The Worker must be able to follow software development processes, prepare detailed documentation and generate work estimates in an Agile, RAD and other SDLC environments. The Worker must be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget. Cross-training and knowledge transfer to current CPA staff will be an important task that you perform.

Worker will be required to work onsite with the team. Working remotely will be limited and must be pre-approved by the Project Manager/ Direct Supervisor.

Experience Required

Eight (8) years of experience with the following:

  • Designing, developing and supporting large or complex extraction, transformation and load (ETL) systems and applications

  • Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence area

  • Performing data analysis, source to target data mapping, define business rules for data preparation

  • Data dictionaries

  • Analyzing data from various databases

  • SQL, Store Procedures, PL/SQL and/or relational database SQL scripting

Five (5) years of experience in the following:

  • ETL development

  • SAP Data services, IBM Design Studio, IBM DataStage or similar ETL tools

Three (3) years of experience with the following:

  • Data integration, data quality and ETL tools, processes and methodology

  • Databases/systems used to develop data mapping and design of the ETL strategy

  • Developing logical and physical data flow models for ETL applications

  • Designing automation processes to control data access, transformation and movement; ensures source system data availability and update accessibility, data integrity, restorability and appropriately handle errors in a time sensitive manner

Two (2) years of experience in the following:

  • Hands-on experience building CPA PeopleSoft FIN and HR universes and CPA reports in Business Objects

Experience Preferred

Two (2) years of experience in the following:

  • Public sector (Federal, State, or Local Government)

  • Development of various reporting mechanisms

  • Highly complex security application requirements

  • Enterprise software solutions

There will be no sponsorship availability for this position, candidates must be Citizens or Residents of the U.S. This is a ONE-year contract position with a fair chance of extension.
